Who should apply? The Master in Analytics program is designed to prepare students for careers as data analysts, data-savvy managers in a wide variety of fields. Significant emphasis is placed on enabling students to use data management techniques and analytical tools to solve real problems throughout the program with the goal of adding value and demonstrating important skills while still in the program. Is the Wittenberg Master of Analytics program accredited? The program is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Do I need to have work experience in order to be successful with this degree? While some applicants have significant work experience, this is not a requirement for success. Our program has great diversity and includes recent college graduates, early-career professionals with 2-3 years of work experience, and experienced professionals with years of experience in analytics or other professional areas.

Do you require GRE or GMAT scores? Standardized test scores are not required as part of the application process.
When does the next cohort of students start? Applications are currently being accepted. Cohorts begin in August of each year.
What is the capstone project? Each student's original capstone project is defined and completed as he/she moves through the program. The project is broken into four phases which account for six of the total thirty-three credits required to complete the program. Faculty direction and support is provided throughout the entire process of defining, executing, and presenting the results of the project. Capstone projects are not designed to be merely theoretical exercises. Rather, each project requires management of the many issues and processes routinely faced by analysts and managers. As such, completed capstone projects aim to add considerable value to problems that are real and significant.
Application Process
What are the admission requirements? All applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Prospective students must also complete the following items to apply for the program: Complete the online application and submit your resume, two references, a career/personal goals statement, and arrange to have official transcripts sent to Wittenberg from all undergraduate colleges/universities attended.
When is the deadline to apply for the program? We process applications throughout the year until one month prior to the start of each cohort. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year as applications are received. Interested students are encouraged to apply early as seats in each cohort are limited.
Are interviews required? Applicants may be required to participate in a Skype interview as part of the admission process. If required, candidates will be contacted to schedule an appointment with the program director.
How do accepted students reserve their seat in a cohort? Applicants will be notified of the admission decision by email. To secure a spot in the program, students should confirm their enrollment by paying the $250 Enrollment Deposit.

Can I transfer credits from prior coursework toward the M.S. in Analytics degree? No. The curriculum anticipates that all students will complete all courses in the established sequence.

Do you offer financing options? Yes. The M.S. in Analytics program is considered full-time for financial aid purposes, and as such, enables students to utilize student loans. Please visit Student Financial Services for additional information.
Wittenberg Alumni Graduate Analytics Scholarship - A $5,000 one-time award given to new incoming students in the Master of Analytics Graduate Program who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree at Wittenberg University. This award will be split evenly between your first and second semester in the program, and is non-renewable. Students must begin the Master of Analytics program in the Fall 2024 Semester to be eligible for this award.
